Hot cross bun season is here and Martha’s isn’t playing it safe. Sydney’s favourite boutique Mediterranean-inspired bakery, the quiet achiever that became one of the city’s most talked-about openings last year, is reimagining one of Easter’s most iconic traditions with the launch of three bold new Hot Cross Bun flavours.

Known for elevating classics with unexpected flavour and refined technique, Martha’s latest drop proves that even the most nostalgic ritual is ripe for reinvention. Rolling out one flavour every Wednesday from 12 March, the Mediterranean-inspired collection is worth the wait.

From the classic reimagined with whipped butter and pink salt, to a decadent Dulce De Leche mousseline tucked inside a chocolate bun, and a showstopping Peanut Butter Jelly ruby bun, there is something to delight every palate.

For those looking to share the love this Easter, pre-orders open 23 March in packs of nine, mix and match across all three flavours or go all-in on a favourite. Pre-orders close 4th April and can be placed in-store or online

Martha’s Hot Cross Bun Menu - Easter 2026:

Classic Hot Cross Bun - $4.50

Available from 11th March

A twist on the classic - still packed with sultanas, currants and citrus peel, but topped with whipped butter and a finish of pink salt for a subtle, elegant contrast.

Dulce De Leche Hot Cross Bun - $5.50

Available from 18th March

One for the chocolate lovers. A decadent chocolate bun filled with silky dulce de leche creme mousseline. Rich, indulgent and deeply satisfying.

Peanut Butter Jelly (PBJ) Hot Cross Bun - $6.00

Available from 25th March

A ruby chocolate bun filled with strawberry compote and whipped peanut butter cream, crowned with sumac strawberry sugar. Nostalgic flavours, reimagined with a Martha’s twist.

“Hot Cross Buns hold so much nostalgia for people,” says Paris Nassif, Martha’s Owner. “They are one of those things people grab without thinking, and we wanted to make them something worth thinking about. We took everything that makes Martha’s Martha’s; the Mediterranean influences, unexpected pairings and obsession with doing classics better, and put it all into these three buns.”

Martha’s Hot Cross Bun collection is available in-store from 12 March, with pre-orders opening from 23 March. Three flavours, zero bad choices, and one very good reason to visit Martha’s this Easter. For more details, visit www.marthas.au
