Tuscany is home is home to some of the world’s most iconic artworks and architecture including Michelangelo’s "David" statue, Botticelli’s works in the Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo Basilica.

 

Now a new Tuscan masterpiece has arrived in Melbourne, courtesy of Italian food emporium Brunetti Classico.

 

Fabio Angele, owner of Brunetti Classico, said the brand’s new Tuscan Tart is best described as a renaissance!

 

“It’s a taste of Tuscany that with revitalise taste buds and provides a modern twist on the traditional tart,” explained Fabio.

 

Launching this January, the Tuscan Tart will be available in five delicious flavours, which are:

 

  • Chocolate – vanilla tart shell, chocolate madeleine, layer of hazelnut crunch, baked chocolate custard.

 

  • Pannacotta – vanilla tart shell, homemade almond cake, rhubarb strawberry compote topped with vanilla pannacotta.

 

  • Tiramisu – vanilla tart shell, coffee ganache, coffee infused sponge, light tiramisu cream.

 

  • Carrot cake – vanilla tart shell, carrot cake layer topped with chocolate cake mousse and homemade orange marmalade.

 

  • Lime – zesty lime tart shell, madeline topped with lime curd.

 

So, what is the twist?

 

“We are breaking with tradition and the providing customers with the opportunity to select multiple flavours in one tart,” revealed Fabio.

 

“This means a customer can construct a tart comprising of slices of all five flavours or just one, it’s new take on Tuscan style,” revealed Fabio.

 

“Single slices are also available to purchase and are best accompanied with cup of freshly brewed Italian-style coffee.”

 

Prices for the same flavour Tuscan Tart are as follow: 

  • Single slice - $9.90
  • Five slices - $45
  • 10 slices - $85

Prices for the mixed and matched Tuscan Tart are as follow:

  • Five slices - $34
  • 10 slices  - $69
