The Westin Melbourne brings back its indulgent High Cheese dining experience

Calling all Melbourne cheese-lovers: a seriously indulgent dining experience is returning to the CBD, just in time for the cooler months. The Westin Melbourne’s acclaimed High Cheese is back for its third year, reimagining the classic afternoon high tea as an artisan, cheese-led experience.
Running from 26 May to 17 October 2026, this year’s five-month residency sees The Westin Melbourne partner with Punt Road Wines and cult Richmond cheesemonger Supercheese, a specialty store celebrated for sourcing niche, small-batch cheeses. Working closely with Supercheese owner Jeremy Spradbery, Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte has curated an exceptional menu defined by quality, distinct character, and provenance.
“Supercheese has an incredible eye for producers with real character. That sense of discovery is what makes this experience so special,” says Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte. “For us, it’s about showcasing cheese in a way that feels elevated, unexpected and true to the ingredient.”
Hosted at Allegro, The Westin’s signature restaurant, the experience features a three-tier presentation of artisan cheese, elevated savoury bites, and sweet flourishes. A definitive highlight is a shared baked Camembert centrepiece, thoughtfully paired with a glass of Punt Road wine.
Designed for cheese enthusiasts and curious diners, High Cheese offers a playful alternative to the classic high tea and a fresh reason to visit Melbourne’s inner-city dining scene this season.
